Fresh off back-to-back sevens club championships, the Panthers rugby outfit switched seamlessly into the longer format of the game and demolished the Police Falcons 67-7 in the opener of the Bounty Farm XV’s yesterday at the National Park.
Tries by Daniel Anderson (three), Lloyd Anderson (two), Osei McKenzie (two), skipper Rondell McArthur (one), Delmar Headley (one) and Jacques Archibald (one) put paid to the efforts of the Guyana’s newest and most inexperienced side. Godfrey Broomes who buried a penalty kick also teamed up with Lloyd Anderson to nail two conversions apiece. Telroy McAlmont also recorded a conversion.
Akino Jones (try) and Daniel DeAbreu (conversion) were the players on the scoresheet for the Falcons.
