The Guyana Football Federation (GFF), has enabled 33 player transfers, inclusive of five international transferals during the recently concluded ‘Summer’ transfer window period of June 1st–31st July 2017.
According to a press release from the GFF, the five international transfers involved clubs from Caribbean nations Grenada and Trinidad and Tobago.
“Among the international transfers were Lloyd Matthew and Denzil Crawford from the Grenades FC (Antigua and Barbuda) to Grove Hi-Tech FC, Murilo R. Barbosa from Slingerz FC to Caledonia AIA FC (Trinidad and Tobago), Colwyn Adams from Caledonia AIA to Slingerz FC and Ralph Parris from Georgetown FC to Caledonia AIA” the release revealed.
Meanwhile, the Elite League clubs incurred the most transfers, as 23 players departed and six players arrived.
“Additionally, two (2) transfers were facilitated by the East Bank Demerara Football Association (EBDFA), 16 by the Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) and 15 by the Rupununi Football Association (RFA),” stated the release from the GFF.
“The transfers enable the respective clubs to prepare for the tournaments nation-wide and the third season of the Elite League, which is scheduled to commence in the latter half of the year” the release added.
