Chief Medical Officer Dr Shamdeo Persaud has been appointed the Chairman of the Central Board of Health for the next two years, Minister of State Joseph Harmon announced yesterday.
During a post-Cabinet press briefing, Harmon informed that Cabinet had approved the appointment of members of the Board of Directors of the Central Board of Health. The members, comprising Persaud and 14 other persons, who represent the regions as well as other statutory bodies, will serve for a two-year period from September 1, 2017 to August 31, 2019.
