A second Sports Tourism Workshop will be held on October 6th from 09:00hrs at the new Guyana Olympic Association Headquarters in Liliendaal.
In a follow up to the first of its kind which was staged on April 29 under the theme “Improving Sports through Tourism; Growing Tourism through Sports’ the workshop next month will be themed ‘Improving Sports through Tourism; growing Tourism through Sports
The workshop, a collaborative effort of the Department of Tourism in the Ministry of Business and the National Sports Commission of the Department of Culture, Youth and Sport is aimed at the following outcomes:
Elaboration by Sports Associations of Vision 2020; Calendar 2018
Convening of a Sports-Tourism Action Group (STAG) that will undertake the coordination needed to execute sports Tourism events
Adoption of the SOPs to guide the planning and execution of Sports Tourism events
