League leader Fruta Conquerors, Santos and Alpha United secured lopsided wins when the Georgetown Zone of the National Milling Company (NAMILCO) U17 League continued yesterday.
Playing at the Tucville Community Centre ground, the home side crushed Georgetown Football Club (GFC) 3-0. Jeremy Garrett led the rout of the Bourda boys with a first half double.
The versatile Garrett opened the scoring with a 22nd minute strike and completed his double four minutes later. The result was sealed in the 38th minute by Turston Gordon.
Similarly, Santos downed Eastveldt 2-0 through a double from Ryan Dowding in the 11th and 16th minute while Alpha United also won by a 2-0 margin over Camptown.
Mark Cameron found the back of the net in the 23rd minute, while Julian Bamfield etched his name on the scorer’s sheet in the 34th minute.
In the final match, Pele and Order and Discipline battled to a 1-1 stalemate. The tournament continues on Saturday.
