Diamond Upsetters created the biggest upset to date in the Ralph Green/East Bank Football Association (EBFA) U11 League when they whipped champions Agricola 2-0 yesterday at the Grove Community Centre ground.
Diamond Upsetters secured the unlikely win led by a double from Shafeek Russell. The nippy attacker, broke the deadlock as he found the back of the net in the second minute.
The win was then sealed as Russell etched his name on the scorer’s sheet in the 21st minute.
Similarly, Grove Hi-Tech dismantled Diamond United 4-0. Dwayne Cliffe bagged a double in the 27th and 29th minute while Jevon Pluck and Jamal Cordis scored in the 11th and 14th minute respectively.
Meanwhile, Mocha downed Herstelling 5-3. Daniel Bradford bagged a helmet trick in the 11th, 14th, 18th and 28th minute, while Neil Garraway scored in the 13th minute.
Also, Friendship and Sonata Point/Kaneville United battled to a 1-1 stalemate. Anthony Christian gave Friendship the lead in the 18th minute, only for Shamar Lyken to equalize two minutes later. The event resumes on October 7th at the same venue.
