Sparta Boss, Broad Street, Gold is Money, New Market Street and the African Team secured their places in the group round when the inaugural Street Vibes Entertainment, ‘Futsal Nation Cup’ commenced on Thursday.
Played at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue, Sparta Boss brushed aside Channel-9 Warriors 4-0 with Courtney Britton tallying a double in the fifth and seventh minute.
He was supported by goals from the experienced duo of Gregory Richardson and Eusi Phillips in the second and 14th minute apiece. Meanwhile, Gold is Money edged Albouystown-B 3-2. Deon Alfred recorded a double in the third and 15th minute while Jamal Pedro scored in the 11th minute. For Albouystown-B, Melvorn Ross and Andre Webber netted in the 14th and 17th minute respectively.
