The National Intermediate Boxing Championship will officially commence on October 26th at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.
The event which will feature boxers from several regions battling it out for supremacy, is slated to conclude on October 29th.
According to Technical Director of the prestigious tournament, Terrence Poole, “Medicals and weigh-ins will occur on Thursday 26th at the National Gymnasium. All boxers are required to attend the medical and weigh-ins. Without attending, the boxers will not be able to participate in the event.”
He further stated that systems are currently being finalized for a smooth running of the tournament, adding, “We expect a high standard because this is the precursor for the National Open Championship in November.”
