The Victoria Community Centre ground will come alive today when the quarterfinal round in the annual Hamilton Green Football Championship commences at 21:00hrs.
In the lone final eight fixture, Ann’s Grove will match skills with Soesdyke. Prior to the lone quarterfinal match, Mahaica Determinators will tackle Plaisance at 17:00hrs, while Victoria Kings will battle Buxton Stars at 19:00hrs in exhibition matches.
The event resumes at the same venue on Wednesday with the final three quarterfinal fixtures. In the opening fixture at 17:00hrs, Guyana Police Force will oppose Silver Shattas.
At 19:00hrs, Milerock will lock horns with Uitvlugt, while the final fixture will pit Den Amstel against Winners Connection from 21:00hrs. Winner of the tournament will receive $500,000 and the Minister of Citizenship Trophy.
The runners-up will pocket $250,000 and the Busta Trophy, while the third place finisher will collect $150,000 and the John Fernandes accolade. The fourth place finisher will walk away with $100,000 and the Cummings Electrical Trophy.
