The Guyana Police Force (GPF) and Pele secured their berths to the quarterfinal round, when the Turbo Energy Drink Knockout Football Championship commenced on Wednesday.
The lawmen arrested West Demerara unit Eagles FC 6-0, at the Ministry of Education Ground, Carifesta Avenue. Rawle Haynes led the assault with a hat-trick in the 64th, 75th and 77th minute.
He was assisted by the trio of Junior Gordon, Travis Jones and Kester Dundas, who scored in the 34th, 48th and 63rd minute, correspondingly.
On the other hand, Pele needled Northern Rangers 2-1. Darshan Persaud and Akosi Jarvis were on target for the winner in the 35th and 92nd minute. For the loser, Sherwin Vincent scored in the 12th minute.
The event resumes on Tuesday October 24th at the same venue.
