Reference is made to a letter published in the October 23 edition of Stabroek News, under the headline, `Main drain still blocked’.
The Ministry of Public Infrastructure wishes to indicate that no word was received from the Better Hope/LBI Neighbourhood Democratic Council (NDC) in relation to the drain identified by the letter writer, Mr. Ricky Ram. Upon contact, the Chairman indicated that he had shared with Mr. Ram his intention to engage the Ministry for assistance and advice in relation to the Railway Embankment drain but, up to the time of the published letter, the Ministry had not been engaged.
In light of the letter and subsequent conversation with the NDC Chairman, the Ministry will be dispatching an official to the location to ascertain areas of assistance and offer advice, if necessary.
