An accountant was yesterday granted bail after he was accused of conspiring to forge a tint certificate and presenting the forged document to a police constable.
Lyndon Forde, 34, of 2786 South Ruimveldt Park, was brought before Georgetown Magistrate Fabayo Azore, who read the two charges to him.
It is alleged that between May 1 and October 20, at Georgetown, Forde, with intent to defraud, conspired with a person or persons to forge a tint window permit, purporting to show it was issued by the Ministry of Public Security.
The second charge read to Forde stated that on October 20, at Georgetown, with intent to defraud, he uttered a forged tint window permit to a police constable, purporting to show it was issued by the Ministry of Public Security.
Forde denied both charges.
The prosecutor, who made no objection to bail being granted, told the court that the file is incomplete.
Subsequently, Magistrate Azore granted the accused his release on a total of $150,000 bail, representing $75,000 on each charge.
The matters will be called again on November 29.
