Two men were yesterday remanded to prison after a court was told that they robbed another man by threatening him with a pair of scissors
Linden Benjamin, 30, a father of five, and Dwayne McLeod, 23, were charged with armed robbery when they appeared before Georgetown magistrate Judy Latchman.
It was alleged that on October 27, 2017, the two men robbed Gary Dickinson of a Samsung phone, worth $13,000, a belt, worth $4,000 and $6,000 in cash.
The two pleaded not guilty and Benjamin claimed that he did not know nor had ever seen McLeod before they were arrested for the robbery.
The two men were refused bail and were remanded to prison until November 20, when the case will be called again.
