DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, CMC – Off-spinner Sunil Narine was the only West Indies player found in the top 20 of the latest ICC One-Day International rankings released on Monday.
The Trinidadian was unmoved at 10th in the bowling rankings alongside England fast bowler Liam Plunkett, with Pakistan seamer Hasan Ali remaining top of the pile.
West Indies captain Jason Holder is the next highest-ranked Caribbean bowler at 26th but no other Windies players have made it into the top 50.
In the batting rankings, the highest-ranked West Indies player is veteran right-hander Marlon Samuels with young stroke-maker the next best at 63rd.
Indian batting icon Virat Kohli has regained the top position, 10 days after losing it to South African star AB de Villiers.
West Indies took a thumping in their most recent one-day series last September when they were swept 4-0 by England in a five-match outing.
