Dear Editor,
I propose the following:
- Justice Patterson should resign. It is clear that he will not get the support he needs to do the job as Chair of Gecom.
He could remain as the advisor to the Attorney General
- The coalition Government APNU+AFC should then together select either a shortlist or one name from the list submitted by the Leader of the Opposition that the President could endorse as acceptable.
Who will complain after this is done?
- Begin preparations for the next elections immediately.
A year has passed since the last Chair left and the schedule is tight.
Can we do this? Yes we can!
Yours faithfully
Doreen de Caires
