A Route 40 (Kitty/ Campbellville) minibus driver was on Thursday committed to stand trial for sexual activity with a minor.
The charge against Quacy Sealey, also known as ‘Cayenne,’ states that in February, at Sheriff Street, he engaged in sexual activity with a child under the age of 16.
Trial Magistrate Judy Latchman made the ruling at the conclusion of the preliminary inquiry into the charge. The proceedings were held in-camera.
Based upon the whole of the evidence, Sealey was committed to stand trial at the next practicable sitting of the Demerara Assizes.
