KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – West Indies A’s hopes of levelling the three-match one-day series against Sri Lanka A were scuppered as wet conditions, resulting from rain, wrecked the second one-dayer at Sabina Park here Friday night.
Not a ball was bowled in the day/night affair as conditions remained unfit for play throughout the evening, forcing match officials to abandon the contest.
It means the third match, scheduled for the Trelawly Multi-Purpose Stadium today, now becomes a do-or-die encounter for West Indies A who trail 1-0 in the series following their two-wicket defeat in a low-scoring first game last Wednesday.
The hosts lost the preceding three-match “Test” series 2-1.
