The quarter-final round of the ‘Turbo Energy Drink Football Championships’ has been rescheduled due to consistent rainfall which has inundated the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
According to a release from the tournament coordinators, the Petra Organization, the matches will now be staged on Tuesday and Thursday.
The Guyana Police Force (GPF) is down to oppose Kuru-Kururu Warriors while Pele will battle Grove Hi-Tech Tuesday.
Two days later, Pouderoyen will match skills with Mahaica Determinators, while Silver Shattas of Linden will lock horns with Camptown.
Winner of the event will receive $500,000 and the championship trophy while the runners-up will pocket $250,000 and the corresponding accolade.
The third and fourth place finishers will collect $125,000 and $75,000 apiece and the respective trophy.
The teams that have been eliminated from the championship are Eagles, Northern Rangers, GFC, Santos, Uitvlugt and Riddim Squad.
