Having been denied bail by a New Jersey judge, convicted Guyanese pilot Khamraj Lall has now moved to appeal as he seeks his freedom while on trial on new money laundering and drug trafficking charges.
His lawyer, Michael D’Alessio Jr, recently filed a notice of appeal and indicated that he would soon submit a memorandum in support to the court.
Justice Steven C. Mannion last month denied Lall’s request for bail after a review and a bail hearing based on an application he had made through his lawyer, where the primary arguments were that he is not a flight risk or a violent person.
