A City Magistrate is today expected to rule on whether a prima facie case has been made out against the men charged with dousing columnist Freddie Kissoon with human faeces.
Charged for the offence against Kissoon are PPP member Kwame McCoy, Jason Abdulla and Shawn Hinds.
Trial Magistrate Judy Latchman yesterday heard from Police Prosecutor Shawn Gonsalves, who responded to the no-case submissions made by attorneys Latchmie Rahamat, George Thomas and Glenn Hanoman.
Gonsalves, in his response urged the court to find that sufficient evidence was led by the prosecutor to establish a prima facie case against the trio.
Subsequently, Magistrate Latchman adjourned the matter to today when she will rule on whether or not a prima facie case has been made out against McCoy, Abdulla and Hinds.
The charge against the trio states that they assaulted Kissoon, by dousing him with human faeces during an attack in 2010.
