The cycling season continues today with the penultimate race on the 2017 calendar.
Guyana’s top wheelsmen are scheduled to race over 60 miles for the spoils in the Diamond Mineral Water-sponsored event scheduled to pedal off at 07:30hrs.
The fixture starts outside the Ocean View International Hotel, proceeds to Half Way Tree, Mahaica, then returns to the point of origin for the finish.
Jamal John, Geron Williams, Paul DeNobrega, Shaquel Agard, Alonzo Ambrose, Curtis Dey and Junior Niles are some of the top riders on the local circuit scheduled to saddle up today.
The first six overall finishers will be rewarded for their efforts while the top three juniors, the first three juveniles, the first three veterans as well as the first three mountain bikers will also be rewarded.
There will be eight sprint prizes up for grabs during the grueling trek.
The season is scheduled to come to a close on November 26 in Berbice.
