A 32-year-old La Parfaite Harmonie vendor was yesterday granted bail for allegedly displaying threatening behaviour towards the mother of his child.
Ricky Boodhoo pleaded not guilty to the charge.
On November 20th, Boodhoo allegedly went to the home of his child’s mother, Patricia Smith, with a cutlass and demanded that she bring the child’s clothes. He started to abuse Smith by using profane words, and threatened to shoot her and chop her up, the court heard.
Boodhoo stated that he shared an eight-year relationship with Smith, and on the said date he did not go to her home, with a cutlass or any other weapon.
The prosecutor made no objections to bail.
Magistrate Fabayo Azore granted Boodhoo bail in the sum of $15,000 and adjourned the matter to November 27th.
