Young Achievers Volleyball club and new kids on the block, Eagles, completed solid wins in the Demerara Volleyball Association (DVA) male ‘A’ division championship Saturday at the National Gymnasium.
Achievers spiked their way past Bartica while Eagles also defeated Bartica by a similar margin without much bother.
Eagles also had the better of Castrol, three sets to one and is favoured to meet the defending champions Achievers in the final.
The ladies matchup up to press time Saturday saw Castrol spiking their way past St Cuthbert’s Mission in straight sets while Vanguard downed St Cuthbert Mission by three sets to one.
