Police are investigating the murder of Roger Bumbury, 57, unemployed of 724 Good Hope, ECD which occurred about 00:45 this morning at his home. The police say that investigations revealed that the victim was reportedly sleeping in a hammock in his veranda situated south of his one-flat home. His reputed wife was awakened by several loud explosions and upon investigation saw the victim lying in a pool of blood in the kitchen.
The deceased who sustained gunshot injuries to the head was pronounced dead on arrival at the GPHC .Three spent shells and a warhead, all of a small-calibre weapon, were retrieved at the scene by investigators. No arrest has yet been made.
