A Lodge handyman was yesterday placed on $50,000 bail by a city court after he denied stealing $200,000 in liquor.
It is alleged that between the 1st and 25th of November, at Sheriff Street, Noel Munroe stole 12 bottles of Johnny Walker, 10 bottles of Ciroc and 2 bottles of Grey Goose, which were all the property of Ryan Shivraj.
Munroe pleaded guilty initially but after Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan explained the penalties he would face, he changed his plea to not guilty.
Chief Magistrate McLennan subsequently granted Munroe bail and adjourned the matter until December 11th.
