David Austin, the man who was allegedly arrested last Friday with a revolver in Albouystown, was yesterday remanded to prison by a city court on a charge of possession of an unlicensed firearm.
The charge states that on December 1st, at Hill Street, Albouystown, Austin had a .38 revolver without a licence in his possession.
Austin, who lives in Albouystown, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The police’s case is that ranks were on patrol when they saw Austin acting in a suspicious manner. As a result, he was searched and the revolver was found.
Magistrate Judy Latchman refused bail and remanded Austin to prison. The matter was adjourned to December 11th.
