Christopher Richards has won $1.5M as the grand prize winner of Rubis’ ‘Happy Dayz’ promotion.
According to a press release from Rubis, Richards said he was stunned by the call from the energy company notifying him of his win. The release quoted him as explaining, in the presence of his wife and two children, “I will first be purchasing as airplane for my son Jason and a dolly for my daughter Nia.”
According to Richards, the win was even more special as both his children were celebrating their birthdays on the day of the presentation, the release stated.
Also in winners’ row, according to the release, were Paul Andrews who won $400,000 and Claymount Matheson, who won an electronics package from Starr Computers.
Rubis Account Executive, Rhonda Johnson, said that the campaign was a success and thanked the competition’s sponsors.
“Our winners came from around the country and we are happy to have been able to change lives and create ‘Happy Dayz’ for winners/our customers,” the release quoted her as saying.
The presentations were made at the Bel Air Rubis Service Station.
