Armed bandits on Tuesday morning invaded the North Ruimveldt, Georgetown house of a cell phone technician during which they held the occupants at gunpoint before escaping with an undisclosed amount of jewellery and valuables.
Lyndon Williams and his family were awoken by a strange noise around 3 am at their Lot 2312 Soufriere Street, North Ruimveldt, Georgetown house.
The two bandits, both of whom were armed with handguns managed to escape with a quantity of gold jewellery, two laptop computers, one camera and three cell phones.
They fled the scene on a motorcycle and have not yet been apprehended.
One of the men held Williams at gunpoint but he resisted. As a result, he was gun butted to his head and face.
At this point, his accomplice also held the other family members at gunpoint demanding that they remain seated as they ransacked the house for valuables after which they escaped.
