Defending champions Agricola Red Triangle and Diamond Upsetters joined Samatta Point/Kaneville and Grove Hi-Tech in the semi-finals of the Ralph Green U11 football tournament following the final round of group matches on Friday.
Hosted at the Grove Community centre, Agricola overcame Diamond United 2-1. Ronaldo Adams handed Diamond United the lead in the eight minute, only for Jonathan Andries to score in the 13th and 14th minute to seal the win.
Meanwhile, Diamond Upsetters gained a walkover from Friendship before battling to a scoreless draw against Diamond United.
The semi-final round will witness Samatta Point/Kaneville battling Grove Hi-Tech while Agricola Red Triangle will oppose Diamond Upsetters.
The top four teams will receive participatory medals while on the individual side, awards will be handed out to the Highest Goal Scorer, Best Goalkeeper, Most Valuable Player, Most Disciplined Player and Most Promising Player.
Each player and member of the coaching staff in the competition received a branded T-shirt. Branded balls (EBFA logo) have also beena used in each match while a special match ball will be used in the final.
