Ravens edged Half Mile Bulls, while Kobras bit Pacesetters, when the Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation (GABF) ‘Road to Mecca’ Club Championship continued on Sunday.
Staged at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue, Ravens clawed their way past Bulls 76-75.
Tyrone Hamid led Ravens with 22 points, while Sebastian Luke was the next best scorer with 18 points.
Chipping in with 13, 10 and seven points respectively, were Keith Bailey, Winston Chapman and Marcel Harris.
For the loser, Terron Welch shot his way to 22 points, while Vibert Benjamin supported with 18 points.
Adding 10, 10 and eight points each were Compton Burnett, Michael Turner and Kevin Easton correspondingly.
Kobras made light work of Pacesetters via an 84-64 scoreline. Travis Burnett recorded a game high 41 points.
He was assisted by the duo of Mark Richards and Jermaine Slater who netted 15 and 13 points respectively.
For Pacesetters, Nathan Saul and Randy Richardson tallied 12 points apiece while Joslyn Crawford added nine points. The event resumes today at the same venue.
