Dear Editor,
I refer to Bishop Juan Edghill’s letter to the editor published on Dec 14th in the Stabroek News. In the paragraph titled ‘Case 2’, he stated “The Nation is still to be told the truth about who financed the consultancy.” He is referring to the consultancy given to the Dutch company Lievense CSO to prepare a Feasibi-lity Study for the new Demerara River crossing.
Bishop Edghill should speak to the General Manager, Mr Rawlston Adams of the Demerara Harbour Bridge Corporation and inquire who authorized him to sign the contract on Dec 9th 2016 with Lievense CSO to prepare a Feasibility Study for the new Demerara River crossing and if he did so with the approval of the Board of Directors of the Demerara Harbour Bridge Corporation.
Yours faithfully,
Edward Gonsalves
