A Stabroek Market stallholder was yesterday granted $70,000 bail for allegedly receiving stolen property.
The charge states that Kelston Adams on December 13th at Stabroek Market received three motor vehicle batteries valued, $90,000, a red Honda 3300-watt generator valued $440,000 and three audio amplifiers valued $900,000, knowing same to be stolen.
Adams pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Police prosecutor Arvin Moore made no objections to bail stating that all the items were recovered.
Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan granted Adams $70,000 bail and adjourned the matter to January 8th.
