Students and other members of the public will now be able to benefit from a new bus shed on Irving Street, outside both schools, compliments of Assuria Guyana.
Stabroek News understands that the initiative was as a result of the General Manager of Assuria observing children, teachers and other pedestrians being exposed to the elements whilst waiting on public transportation.
As a result, an approach was made to the Ministry of Public Works for approval to erect a bus shed, which was granted without delay.
“This is the second such bus shed sponsored by Assuria, having commissioned one in April of 2016, on Regent Street obliquely opposite the GuyOil Gas Station,” the company stated.
