Civil service training should start at the top

Dear Editor, The excitement obvious from the media reports on December 19 on the graduation of the first batch of cadets from the Civil Service Training College is quite understandable; I join in congratulating the graduates and their tutors and believe that all Guyanese will be looking to see what impact such training will have on the day-to-day delivery of services to the public.

IDB crafting framework for Guyana green economy

Stating  that economic growth here over 10 years has not resulted in better living standards, the IDB says it will be working on a modern national strategy and planning framework for Guyana’s green economy  as part of its  2017 to 2021 plan which also paints a bleak picture of the country’s capacity to implement projects and cites gross infrastructural deficiencies The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) strategy was recently approved by its board and yesterday released to the public.
