A Lusignan prisoner was yesterday brought before the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court to answer to multiple charges including threatening to kill the President.
It is alleged that Alim Ally on November 19th made 911 calls from the Lusignan Prison to the Brickdam Police Station, threatening to shoot and kill President David Granger.
He was read three other charges of a similar nature. Police Prosecu-tor Arvin Moore stated that the calls were made at three different times of the day and he spoke to three different operators from three different stations, between November 10th and 19th.
Ally who is currently serving a five-year sentence at the Lusignan Prison, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
He will appear before the Chief Magistrate on December 21st for re-assignment of the case.
