Rain, yesterday, forced the abandonment of the latest round of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) Jaguars One Day 50 Overs League.
However, despite the threat of further interruptions, the tournament is now set to enter the final preliminary round tomorrow with matches at four venues across the country.
Essequibo, champions of the 2017 GCB/Jaguars Three – Day League, and who are presently leading the points table, will do battle with current fifth placed, Upper Corentyne at the Albion Community Centre ground, while joint third-placed teams Georgetown and West Demerara will compete at the Tuschen Sports Club ground, for an opportunity to reach the Play-Offs.
Current seventh-placed Upper Demerara/East Bank will compete with the present sixth-placed West Berbice at the Everest ground while defending Jaguars One Day 50 League Champions and current second-placed Lower Corentyne will oppose East Coast at the Young Warriors ground.
The Play-Offs is set for the 28 December 2017 which will be played between the second and third-placed teams.
