The Guyana Police Force is responding to an article in last Sunday’s edition of the Kaieteur News under the caption ‘More than a week later…Rape accused yet to be charged despite DPP’s recommendation’.
Please be informed that the suspect who is on ‘station bail’, was re-arrested and charged as recommended; the matter has since been filed for hearing at the Vreed-en-Hoop Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday January 9, 2018.
