A 61-year-old bus operator was yesterday granted bail after he denied assaulting a man, who suffered a broken foot as a result of the incident.
Leroy Johnson denied the charge that he, on December 12, 2017 at Regent Road, Bourda, unlawfully and maliciously inflicted grievously bodily harm on Yohan Grenidge.
The charge was read to him by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan.
According to police prosecutor Payne, the complainant went to seek treatment at the hospital yesterday for injuries he sustained to his right foot.
The prosecutor added that the file in relation to the matter is incomplete and made no objection to bail being granted.
Subsequently, Johnson was released on $75,000 bail and is expected to make his next court appearance before Magistrate Fabayo Azore on January 10.
