Investigators are wrapping up their preliminary investigation of the alleged rape committed on a Sophia woman by two policemen at the Turkeyen Police Station on New Year’s Day.
Commander of ‘C’ Division Calvin Brutus yesterday told Stabroek News that after the file is complete, it will be been sent to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) headquarters for a review and then to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for legal advice.
The two policemen implicated in the rape remain under close arrest.
