The semi-final round in the inaugural GT Beer Yearend Football Championship will kick-off today at the Den Amstel Community Centre ground.
In the opening fixture at 18:30hrs, traditional giant Pouderoyen will lock horns with fierce rival Uitvlugt, in what promises to be a thrilling encounter.
Pouderoyen enter the contest in a rampant mood following their 14-0 win over newcomer Zeelugt. Meanwhile, their opponent Uitvlugt FC secured their berth to the final-four stage, following a 2-0 win over Wales FC.
On the other hand, Den Amstel engages Young Achievers in the feature attraction at 20:30hrs.
The home side earned their place in the semi-final round following a 4-3 penalty shoot-out win over Crane Rovers, after normal time ended scoreless.
On the other hand, Young Achievers crushed Eagles 5-1 in their previous meeting. The knockout event which will be played for a top prize of $400,000, will conclude on January 7th.
Winner of the competition will receive $400,000 and the championship trophy, while the runner-up will pocket $200,000 and the corresponding accolade.
The third and fourth place finisher will walk away with $100,000 and $50,000 respectively.
