The national cricket selectors have made two changes to the Guyana Jaguars squad for their final round clash of Cricket West Indies (CWI) Regional first-class championships against the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force beginning today at the Guyana National Stadium.
They have included West Indies batsman Shimron Hetmyer and left-arm spinner Anthony Adams and omitted veteran batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Romario Shepherd.
Hetmyer, who recently made his test debut against New Zealand will bolster an already strong Jaguars batting line set to take on Red Force today from 9:30 hours. The 21 – year old left-hander replaces Chanderpaul in the 13-man squad which has already secured the title.
Adams has been included for Shepherd who bowled impressively in the Guyana Jaguars’ drawn encounter against the Barbados Pride where he captured his career-best 5-40. According to reports, Shepherd is not yet fully recovered from an injury he sustained in the said match.
