Shot shop owner reported to be in stable condition

The Leopold and Breda streets shop owner who was shot twice in her back on Wednesday during a drive-by shooting is said to be in a stable condition according to Commander of ‘A’ Division, Marlon Chapman.

Jacqueline Lagnah, called `Jackie’, 55, of Lot 83 Leopold and Breda streets, Werk-en-Rust was shot twice in what was  said to be a gang-related incident.

Chapman told this newspaper that based on the last report he received the woman is a stable condition and remains in the hospital recuperating.  He also said that the suspects who were arrested remain in police custody and are assisting with investigations.
