Additional statements were on Monday served to the two policemen who are charged with the murder of businessman Godfrey Scipio, called ‘Sagga.’
It is alleged that Detective Corporal Derwin Eastman and Constable Jamenson Williams on October 12th, 2017, at Stanley Place and David Street, Kitty, murdered Scipio in the course or furtherance of a robbery.
Police prosecutor Neville Jeffers served additional statements on the defendants and informed the court that the file in relation to the matter was complete. Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan subsequently adjourned the matter until January 26th and transferred it to the courtroom of Magistrate Fabayo Azore.
It was previously reported that Scipio, of Lot ‘ZZ’ 22 D’Urban Street, Wortmanville, Georgetown, was shot once in his abdomen during the fatal attack at Stanley Place, Kitty.
