A teenager was yesterday charged with raping an eight-year-old boy.
Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan read the rape charge to the 16-year-old accused during an in-camera hearing in Georgetown.
The charge stated that the defendant allegedly committed the act between December 1st, 2015, and December 24th, 2015.
The Chief Magistrate later granted the accused his release on $150,000 bail. The case was then adjourned until February 8th, 2018, when it is expected to be called in the courtroom of Magistrate Fabayo Azore in Georgetown.
