The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) was rescheduled yesterday to February 25.
Reason? Lack of a quorum….the minimum number of persons needed for the AGM to be conducted.
This is according to an official in the GRFU who was seeking a post within the executive.
The official who spoke on the condition of anonymity, told this publication that only about nine persons showed up for election of office bearers at the National Resource Centre yesterday.
According to the constitution, once 30 minutes elapses following the scheduled starting time of the AGM and there is a lack of a quorum, the AGM must be rescheduled.
In the event that there is still a lack of members at the next meeting, the persons present will form that quorum.
