East Bank Football Association (EBFA) newcomer Swan FC, got off to the perfect start in the Frank Watson Memorial U15 League, edging Kuru-Kururu by a 1-0 score yesterday.
Played at the Grove Community ground, Edison Williams recorded the first ever goal in the history of the club, compliments of a 26th minute conversion.
Meanwhile, Agricola Red Triangle and Timehri Panthers also secured respective hard-fought wins. Agricola overcame Herstelling Raiders 3-2.
Brian Lambert bagged a brace in the 32nd and 59th minute for the winner, while Floyd Boyce netted in the 22nd minute. For the loser, Sheron James and Amerio Griffith netted in the first and 24th minute apiece.
On the other hand, Timehri Panthers squeaked past Soesdyke Falcons by a 2-1 score. Melroy Prince and Antwoine Denny found the back of the net in the 15th and 50th minute respectively.
On the other side of the field, Tyrone Burnett netted in the 13th minute. The tournament continues on February 3rd at the same venue.
