Three men, including two Brazilians, have been taken into custody after they were allegedly found in possession of an unlicensed shotgun and a quantity of ammunition in Central Rupununi.
According to a police statement, the items were found by ranks of the Joint Services during routine patrols in Central Rupununi.
A 43-year-old Guyanese, who hails from South Rupununi, was allegedly found in possession of eight ammunition components, while the two Brazilians, ages 43 and 48, were found with a 28-gauge single barrel shotgun and five live cartridges.
The men are being processed for court, police noted.
