A pensioner died along the Williamsburg Village, Corentyne Public Road yesterday morning, after he was struck by a hire car.
The car that struck Winston Williams, 68, a retired plumber for the Region Six administration, of Lot 6 A Campbell Street, Williamsburg Village, was reported to have been speeding when the accident occurred around 7 am. The driver, a 47-year-old Georgetown resident, has since been arrested.
