Agricola, Diamond Upsetters and Samatta Point/Kaneville secured contrasting when the East Bank Demerara leg of the Frank Watson Memorial National U15 Football League continued yesterday at the Grove Community ground.
Agricola made light work of Diamond FC via a 7-0 scoreline. Brian Lambert was the chief tormentor of the Diamond rearguard as he scored five times.
Lambert found the back of the net in the third, eighth, 36th, 52nd and 56th minute. He was assisted by goals from Floyd Bynoe and Jamal Fyfe in the 16th and 30thminute apiece.
Also, Diamond Upsetters edged Herstelling 2-1. Meairo Richards and Abdulla Amin scored in the 14th and 43rd minute respectively. For the losing team, Damiun Persaud scored in the 35th minute. Similarly, Samatta Point/Kaneville needled Soesdyke 1-0. Matthew Austin etched his name on the scorer’s sheet in the 22nd minute.
Meanwhile, Mocha and Grove Hi-Tech battled to a 2-2 draw. The tournament resumes on Saturday 10th at the same venue.
