A 46-year-old Sophia man was on Wednesday fined $50,000 for stealing two rims
The charge stated that Jose Hamilton on January 27th at Sheriff Street stole two 18-inch rims with tires valued at $100,000, property of Dale Mendonca.
Hamilton pleaded guilty to the charge.
The prosecutor then stated that only one of the rims had been returned.
Magistrate Fabayo Azore fined the man $50,000, or four weeks in prison, if he is unable to pay the fine.
